Jema is a professional costumer and educator living and working in the UK. Despite living in a magic cottage, she has yet to teach her animal friends to help with the sewing.

​

She has a BA in Theatre Design from Nottingham Trent University, an MA from the University of Huddersfield and has done nearly every job available in costume - from Designer to Dresser. Jema now specialises as a Pattern Cutter for Film, Theatre and TV.

 

  She was also an originator of the steampunk scene in the UK, exhibiting her costume art internationally - with 3 how-to-make books published as her alter ego “Emilly Ladybird”.
